The National Commission for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children and Young People (National Commission) uses social media to communicate, share information and engage with the community.
Please note that the National Commission is not an advocacy service and is unable to advocate on individual matters. For privacy reasons, we cannot discuss personal matters on social media. We do not record personal information shared with us via social media platforms unless required to do so in an emergency or in line with our mandatory reporting obligations.
Social media accounts
Scammers may create fake social media accounts with our name and branding and send requests to you asking for personal identifying information. We will never ask you to provide personal information on social media.
If you are contacted by a page with our name and branding that you suspect may be a scammer, please take a screenshot and send it to enquiries@ncatsicyp.gov.au.
